T i m   S a b i n ' s   Bio

Tim's "daytime" job is as a Computer Software Engineer. His real passion is the music he writes. You might say he is a "Jazz Centrist"; he writes in styles from '60s Rock through Smooth Jazz to Classical and New Age. This is because of the variety in his influences:
  • Smetena - the "Tone Poem"
  • George Gershwin - early Jazz
  • Kenny G - contemporary Jazz
  • The Beatles - Rock 'n' Roll
Tim's piece "Peacefully" was recently featured on Tani Chen's radio broadcast Dreams of a News Age. This show was broadcast on August 20, 2001 over WMBR (88.1 FM).

Here are some things that have been written about Tim's works:

Not a bad mid for someone who claims no musical expertise. Good feeling in the piece. Most computer generated music has no musical quality, such as dynamics and tempo fluctuations to show some expression. But yours does! (midiman - Jeff)
